Aysa joined us as an Inside Job Recruiter at HMP Isis, where he spent four months supporting candidates with CV writing and disclosure letters. He worked consistently hard and played a key role in delivering our monthly interview surgeries. It was during one of these sessions that he first connected with one of our employer partners, Oliver Connell & Sons.
HOW WE HELPED
After his release from HMP Isis in June 2025, we met Aysa for a coffee to discuss his employment goals. Although he found some short-term work with a family member, he was eager to secure a more stable, long-term opportunity. We invited him to take part in our Fast Lane Initiative with Taylor Woodrow, where he completed his CSCS training and interviewed with several subcontractors.
WHAT CAME NEXT
Following the Fast Lane Day, Aysa received four job offers. He is now employed by Oliver Connell & Sons as a Trainee Engineer and aims to begin their engineering apprenticeship next year. He regularly sends us photos from site, and it’s clear he is thriving in his new role and enjoying his new-found freedom.
