As a small charity, monthly, quarterly or annual donations truly go a long way. Becoming a friend of Beating Time helps us plan ahead and sustain our work in prisons throughout the year.

A donation of any size makes a real difference. Whether it’s £5 a month or £50, your support directly impacts choir members and Inside Job Candidates looking for meaningful employment.

To give a sense of how your generosity helps…

• £20 provides a choir with printed lyrics and chord arrangements, which participants can take back to their cells to practise between rehearsals

• £30 equips an Inside Job Peer Recruiter with a uniform, boosting pride, confidence and visibility within the prison
• £100 funds a candidate’s CSCS test and card, opening the door to safe and skilled employment
• £150 funds a full Choirs Beating Time session in a prison, using music to boost mood, foster connection and create moments of joy

We are always looking for creative, mutually beneficial partnerships that support our programmes and engages your organisation with purposeful social impact.

Ways your organisation could get involved include:

• Employment opportunities – We currently have a network of over 200 employer partners who regularly host employment surgeries in prison, creating connections with our Candidates and offering real opportunities for employment on release. If you already hire prison leavers or are interested in developing your recruitment strategy to offer job placements for people with unspent convictions, then we’d be interested to hear from you.
• Team fundraising – raising money in support of one or both of our programmes. See the Fundraising section for more details on how your employees can raise funds for Beating Time.
